How Laser Hair Removal Works
Laser hair removal directs concentrated pulses of light into the hair follicle. The pigment in the follicle absorbs the energy, which disables the follicle and prevents future growth — without damaging the surrounding skin. Because hair grows in cycles, multiple sessions are needed to catch every follicle in its active growth phase. Most patients achieve 80–90% permanent hair reduction after completing their treatment series.
Our Palomar system uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology that treats areas quickly and comfortably — most patients describe the sensation as a light rubber-band snap, far gentler than waxing.
